  • Ride information: Pickup/drop-off locations, departure times, pricing, route data, driver notes
  • Payment information: Payment details are processed securely through Stripe — we do not store your full card number
  • Communications: Messages sent through the in-app chat, support inquiries, feedback

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, timestamps
  • Location data: Only when you actively search for or publish rides (not background tracking)
  • Log data: IP address, access times, error logs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match riders with drivers and display relevant ride listings
  • Process payments and issue refunds through Stripe
  • Facilitate in-app messaging between ride participants
  • Send transactional emails (OTP verification, booking confirmations, ride reminders, receipts)
  • Send notifications about booking updates, new messages, and ride status changes
  • Display ratings and review averages to build community trust

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users: Your first name, last initial, class year, profile photo, ratings, and travel preferences are visible to other users. Exact pickup/drop-off addresses are only shared with confirmed booking participants.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate our platform, including Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email), Cloudinary (image hosting), Google Maps (location services), and Sentry (error monitoring). These providers only access information necessary to perform their services and process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Passwords are never stored in plain text
  • All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant) — we never store your full card number
  • Access controls and monitoring are in place to detect and prevent unauthorized access
  • Regular security reviews are conducted

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records). Archived ride data and anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement.

FULLRIDE is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data.
