Every academic break, the same challenge repeats.

Thousands of students need to travel home at the same time, often without access to a car. The existing options are expensive, inconvenient, or uncertain, and the stress doesn't stop with students - it reaches families and universities too.

Break travel isn't rare - it's recurring. Yet the system surrounding it hasn’t been designed with students in mind.

Carpooling isn't new... It just lost it's place.

For decades, students have shared rides home during academic breaks. Bulletin boards, word of mouth, and phone calls once connected drivers and riders headed to the same cities.
The logic was simple: students travel at the same times, to the same places.

When those informal systems disappeared,

the need didn't. It just went unstructured.

Fullride brings structure to student carpooling.

Fullride is a student-only platform that helps college students plan shared rides during academic breaks.
Drivers post trips they're already taking. Riders join trips that match their destination and schedule. Everything is organized in advance, with clear expectations for everyone involved.

Instead of relying on scattered group chats or last-minute coordination, Fullride creates one clear place for break travel to happen.

Campuses benefit from safer coordination, reduced congestion during peak travel times, stronger student connection, and fewer individual car trips.

Built with care, responsibility, and intention.

Fullride is designed to prioritize trust, safety, and clarity - without overcomplicating what already works.
Student-only by design

Fullride is built for college students, creating a shared baseline of accountability and trust.

Planned, not improvised

Trips are organized in advance, with clear timing and expectations that reduce last-minute uncertainty.

Driver-led and transparent

Drivers control their routes and preferences, while riders join trips with clarity and respect.

Built with institutions in mind

The platform is being developed thoughtfully, with awareness of university and family expectations.

Fullride started with a simple problem I experienced firsthand.

I’m a college student. Getting home for academic breaks was harder than it needed to be - expensive, inconvenient, and often uncertain. I knew plenty of upperclassmen who were already driving to the same places, and plenty of students who needed a ride. The disconnect didn’t make sense.

Fullride exists to thoughtfully organize something students have always done - traveling home together - using modern tools, clearer structure, and shared responsibility.

This isn’t about disruption for its own sake. It’s about making college life work a little better: for students, for families, and for the campuses we’re part of.

Fullride is a student-led transportation platform being built at Purdue University.
It was created to solve a recurring, real problem: getting students home during academic breaks shouldn’t be expensive, uncertain, or stressful.

Fullride is designed as a structured system for planned student travel — built with clear expectations, student verification, and accountability at its core. As the platform proves itself campus by campus, it is intended to scale into a reliable standard for how college travel works.
